Highlands Guidebook

The Bridge Suite is well stocked with a large number of leaflets and booklets providing information about the extensive range of nearby attractions and activities that are available to enjoy whilst staying in the area. For those who prefer to plan for their trip in advance, the local area guides below will hopefully help to highlight some of the most popular, and some of our favourite, things to do and places to go. In addition to the regular tourist attractions and facilities there is a vast amount of open landscape to explore from mountain vistas and rugged beaches to Caledonian forests and dramatic waterfalls as well as a wealth of interesting and unique wildlife to observe.

For those who are looking for something a little different to the usual tourist hot-spots we love to help our guests to get the most out of their trip by offering advice and suggestions of where to find the quietest, most scenic off the beaten track locations where there are great experiences to be had from just simply exploring and enjoying the beautiful surroundings that make this place so special, because very often the best, most memorable days in The Highlands are those that are unplanned; when you discover a breathtaking landscape, find a secluded spot where you can enjoy some peaceful solitude or have an unexpected encounter with one of the many iconic wildlife species that make their home here.

Most of these places that we consider to be extra special are not listed in this guide but if you have spare time whilst you are staying with us be sure to let us know what you are looking for and we'll be happy to share our local knowledge with you....
